Jacquie Pierri was a four-year varsity player for Montclair High School, serving as an alternate captain during her senior season and helping lead the team to a Northern White Division Championship under NJ High School Ice Hockey Hall of Fame coach Pat Verney. She was the recipient of the David Greenwald Memorial Hockey Award, presented for leadership, character, and work ethic. In addition to hockey, Pierri was also a varsity lacrosse player during her time at Montclair. She competed for her home club, the Montclair Blues, finishing with the Midget AA team and earning the Lars Johansson Award, named in honor of another NJ High School Ice Hockey Hall of Fame inductee.

After graduating, Pierri continued her hockey career at Brown University, competing at the NCAA Division I level and earning placement on the ECAC All-Academic Team (2011–2012). Following college, she played five seasons with the Calgary Inferno of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL), where she served as an alternate captain and helped guide the team to the 2016 Clarkson Cup Championship. That same season, she was named a CWHL All-Star, and in 2017, she was part of the organization’s Chairman’s Trophy–winning squad.

Pierri went on to play two seasons with SDE Hockey in Sweden’s SDHL before joining—and later captaining—the Bolzano Eagles of Italy’s European Women’s Hockey League (EWHL), where she is currently in her fifth season. She is a dual Italian-American citizen and an Olympian, representing Italy at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games and helping the team to a historic eighth-place finish—the highest in program history. She is also set to compete for Italy at the 2026 IIHF Division I Group A World Championship in April.

Off the ice, Pierri founded the “Keep the Beat” Charity Game in honor of her cousin and father—Tori Rubino and Al Pierri—which has raised over $15,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Pierri is an active member of EcoAthletes, blending her passion for sport and environmental advocacy. Her work in sustainability in sports includes a master’s thesis on the climate impacts of ice rink refrigeration and participation in the documentary The Last Game, which was recently featured at the Hockey Hall of Fame.
