Jon was a prolific goal scorer during his career at Montclair High School between 1966 and 1970. He was at or near the leading points scorer in each year. He was captain of two Gordon Cup winning teams in 1968-69 and 1969-70 and was proud to have played three seasons under the legendary high school athletic coach Clary Anderson. In each of his four seasons Jon had a brother, first Robert then Richard, as one of his line mates.
