John entered The Lawrenceville School fall of 1978 as a sophomore and played varsity for 3 years. He was an All State selection, first team 1978-79 and 79-80 and second team 1980-81. After his senior year at Lawrenceville of ’81, John headed north to St.Lawrence University and played in the hockey program, with both the junior and varsity teams. He received a BS in Chemistry while attending. After coaching at Trinity Pawling where he coached the JV and assisted with the Varsity, he also spent many years coaching youth hockey in CT with the, Rye Rangers, Wallingford Hawks, CT Whalers and Cheshire High School preseason where he enjoyed the opportunity to develop young talent.
Since leaving coaching in 2012 and John has enjoyed time on the slopes in place of the rinks. John currently lives in Cheshire CT with his wife, Christine and one son while his other son lives close by, both are a big part of his life. John is an American Board Certified orthotist for 22 years practicing throughout CT.
