Dan Breeman covered high school hockey for the Daily Record in Morris County, NJ, from 1992 until 2017. He is a 1982 graduate of Morris Catholic High School in Denville and a 1986 graduate of William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ, where he served as sports editor for the college newspaper. Upon graduating from college, his first job was as sports editor for the Wayne Today newspaper, where he covered a variety of sports.

After joining the Daily Record in 1989, he took over the high school hockey beat in 1992 and began covering the Morris County Hockey League, which he continued through 2017. He is a past member of the selection committee for the New Jersey hockey state tournament. He also covered other high school sports for the Daily Record during his tenure, including football and boys’ and girls’ tennis.

He currently works as a medical writer and editor in healthcare publishing. He and his wife, Robbin, have two grown children and will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary this fall.
