Hanna (Beattie) Petrick

Defense

A lifelong passion for hockey began at the Essex Hunt Club, where Hanna first learned to skate and developed her love for the game. She went on to compete with the New Jersey Colonials, playing both forward and defense on girls’ and boys’ teams, building a strong foundation of versatility and competitiveness.

At The Pingry School, she led the team in scoring throughout her four years and served as captain during her junior and senior seasons. She earned First Team WIHLMA All-League and First Team Star-Ledger All-State honors.

Hanna continued her career at Williams College, where she helped lead the team to the program’s first-ever NESCAC Championship and appeared in every game throughout her collegiate career. She was a two-time captain and earned NESCAC Rookie of the Year, First Team All-NESCAC, and First Team All-American honors.

She went on to play professionally for five seasons with the Connecticut Whale in the NWHL/PHF, contributing to the growth of women’s professional hockey. Alongside her playing career, she spent five years coaching 14U athletes at Greenwich Skating Club/Stateline Hawks.

Hanna now resides in Manhattan with her husband, Michael, and works on the NHL’s Innovation Team, supporting technologies and initiatives that enhance the game from player, hockey operations, and fan experience perspectives.

She is honored to join her brother, Matt, in the New Jersey High School Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
