Pat’s youth hockey included the Montclair Hockey Club, Essex County Chiefs, Olympic Stars, Toms River Blackhawks, NJ Rockets, and Haverford Hawks where his Bantam team finished 4th in the Nationals.
Pat’s high school hockey career began at Toms River North, scoring 56 goals and 55 assists his freshman and sophomore years, breaking his brother Frank’s scoring record at North. Transferring to Peddie School, Pat set the single season scoring record with 45 goals and 59 assists, state scoring leader, earning him First Team all Private School and First Team All Mercer County for three straight years and Star Ledger All State First Team junior and senior years. He was selected Mercer County Player of the Year and was the first player in Mercer County to score 100 points. Pat remains the leading scorer in Peddie Ice Hockey history.
Pat obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Lake Forest College and earned his Master’s Degree from Loyola University, Chicago. Pat married Abigail Karasick and they make their home in Glenview, IL where they are raising their four children, twins Alexandra and Luke, and twins Samantha and Madeline.
Following Hurricane Sandy, Pat and his brothers, Frank and Mike, organized a high school alumni hockey tournament in Toms River, NJ to raise money for hurricane victim relief with all four high schools participating.
