Dennis played at Morris Knolls from 1992-1996; he was first team All-State, won multiple NJ Devils player of the month awards, MVP of Mennen Cup and MVP of Senior All-Star Game, represented NJ at Chicago Showcase for two years, received the Governor’s Award for most outstanding player, after winning the Garden State Games MVP. Dennis then played at Canterbury Prep. His team won the Prep Cup that year.

At Quinnipiac Dennis played 4 years and earned a BS in Business Management. He then worked for ESPN for 6 years. After entering the New Jersey State Police Academy he was selected by his peers for the Colonels Award as the most outstanding recruit of the 149th Class. Dennis currently holds the rank of Sergeant. Dennis is married to Sharyn with four children; Derek, Christopher, Evan and Siena. He plays hockey with the NJSP, which raises money for charities.

Jeff Ohlweiler played for Chatham Twp. between the years 1984-1988. In his senior year, he led his team to both the state semi-finals and Mennen Cup finals, was selected to the Star Ledger 1st-team All-State Team, and led the state in scoring with 112 points (67 goals). Jeff represented New Jersey in both his junior and senior years at the US National High School Championships. Jeff played club hockey at Miami University in Ohio. After dropping his gloves, he got his Masters degree in International Business, moved to Asia, learned Mandarin, was boxing champion (63kg) in Taipei, Taiwan in 1995, where he now lives with his wife and 3 children, Julius, Marcus, and Sanna.

Sparked by the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid (Miracle on Ice), Phillip started skating at the “late” age of 10. He played on his first travel hockey team with the New Jersey Rockets at Ice World, as a Bantam. Other travel teams included the Colonials, Youth Devils, and the Saints summer team. Later on, Phil’s Junior Devils team competed for the national championship in 1990, 1991, and 1992. He also played in the New Jersey Garden State Games for two consecutive summers. Phil also competed in the Chicago Showcase representing Team New Jersey. In his four years at West Essex High School, Phil achieved many awards of distinction. He was the first NJ high school hockey player ever to be named Boy Athlete of the Week in the Star Ledger. Phil received this honor in his junior and senior year. In his junior year, Phil helped West Essex win the American Conference B Division Championship. Also, Phil was named MVP of this conference that year. The honoree also received second team and third team all state honors in his junior and senior years. What remains to be Phil’s biggest hockey accomplishments? Phil made New Jersey state history by becoming the first NJ high school hockey player to ever score 60 goals in two seasons. Secondly, in 1990, Phil was named the state leading scorer with 91 points (61 goals, 30 assists). To date, Phil Infusino is the point leading scorer at West Essex and is in the top 10 for career scoring leaders for New Jersey.

After his high school years, Phil began college at Quinnipiac University and later completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing from Rutgers University. He works hard and has made a successful career in the insurance industry. Phillip married Rosalia Lenzo, also a West Essex 1990 graduate. Phillip and Rosalia live in North Caldwell where they are bringing up three children, Luca (age 15), Mila (age 11), and Nico (age 10). The Infusino children are avid hockey fans and can often be heard cheering on their team favorite, the Devils. In his free time, Phil continues to participate in various men’s ice hockey leagues. Phil coached his oldest son, Luca, for both of his PeeWee years. Now, Luca, plays for West Essex as a freshman on the varsity team as well as other club teams. Phil is already making arrangements for Mila and Nico to “get on the ice”. His love for the game never ceases.

When asked, what do you contribute to your hockey success? Phil talked about his never ending passion and love for the game, his mentoring coaches, family support, and his ability to remain humble. Phillip will never forget the camaraderie that was formed between him and his teammates and the ever lasting friendships he has made. Phil chuckled as he said, “there is no better education than the hockey locker room.” Phil believes ice hockey is “the greatest game on earth” and will forever be grateful for the memories and this tremendous honor.

Ian started his hockey career at age five, playing at Ice World in Totawa. He continued to play hockey while growing up. Under Coach John Kovacs, Ian played three seasons for Morris Knolls High School and really started to show incredible talent his sophomore and junior years. In his junior year, he lead the Morris County league in scoring and was All Area and All State Public Schools. He went on to play two years in prep school at Choate, where he continued to thrive.

He was being pursued by many colleges but a visit to West Point sealed the deal for him. He suffered from a back surgery which caused him to miss part of his first season but his remaining three years he was the leading scorer for Army. Ian was the captain his senior year and lead Army to their best season ever 24-9-1 beating Cornell, Yale, Quinnipiac and Air Force twice. He was selected for the College
Hockey All Star Game. Ian has had a successful career in Finance and Broadcasting and is the author of the book “Ubiquitous Relativity”. He and his wife live is Los Angeles and travel the world volunteering to make a difference in the lives of others.

Jim Carlucci began his youth hockey career with the Brick Hockey Club before attending Brick High School where he was a part of the 1977 State Championship team which defeated Livingston. Following high school, Jim went on to Upsala College while playing for Dave Sloan where he starred and captained the team and became the school’s all time leading scorer culminating in capturing the first Hobey Baker Award as Division 3 player of year scoring 104 goals during his junior season.

Following college, Jim participated in the NJ Devils inaugural training camp in 1982. After playing with the Virginia Raiders of the ECHL, Jim returned home to Brick and began coaching and officiating youth, high school and college hockey. In 1996, Jim was inducted into the Jersey Shore Sports Hall of Fame. Jim continues to officiate youth and NJ High School hockey. He currently lives in Brick with his lovely wife Nancy and wonderful son Chris.

Born with a stick in his hands, Alex Rauter was the definition of a rink rat. From an early age, his mother Leslie and his father Tom shuffled him around to dozens of rinks in the NJ area so he could play the game he loved. Most notably though was when Tom, a coach at Chatham, would bring him to Mennen Arena at 5 AM just so he could watch the cougars practice. From there, his passion and love for the sport followed him all the way to 2011 when he helped Harvey Cohen and Chatham capture the first State Championship in school history. From there he went on to become a Captain at Cornell University and received a nomination for the Hobey Baker Award. He currently plays professionally with the Chicago Blackhawks minor league affiliate, the Indy Fuel.

Keith Nixon grew up in Montclair N.J. and graduated from Montclair H.S. where he was a back-up goalie on the hockey team. He continued his career playing four years at Ohio University. Keith began coaching in high school and with several club organizations prior to becoming the head coach at Summit H.S. In his 25 years as the head coach at S.H.S the Hilltoppers won three state championships, seven county championships, seven league titles and a total of 350 games. In addition he was a member of NIHOA, officiating high school games for 15 years.

Hockey was always the first choice for Jeff whether it was in the ice rink, on a frozen pond or in the street. As the youngest of 6 children there was always someone willing to play hockey. Michael, John & David all played at CBA with the latter two winning the school’s first championship in ’83 (Jeff kept track of shots on goal in the scorekeepers box for CBA home games) . His sister’s, Lisa and Cheryl, were heavily involved in rounding out his hockey skills from a young age. Jeff played for the CBA Colts from ’92-’94. By his junior year he led the team to a Gordon Cup Championship and a State Championship title. He was selected 1st Team All-State.

A desire to build on this hockey success led him to The Canterbury School in New Milford, CT. where the team finished 1st in the regular season two years in a row with Jeff leading the team in points his senior year. Jeff’s hockey journey continued on to Yale University where he was an immediate contributor on the first line and first power play unit. He would be part of an ECAC championship and multiple Ivy League titles as well as the first berth in the NCAA tournament since 1952, ranking as high as 3rd in the nation. Jeff finished his Yale career ranking in the top ten all time in points scored and games played as well as an All-Ivy team selection. He signed with the Carolina Hurricanes after his senior season with Yale. Upon moving to New York City, he played with the NY St. Nick’s Hockey Club (founded 1895) winning multiple USA Adult Hockey Championships.

Jeffrey is happily married to his lovely wife Katie and has three children, David ,Colin and Delia. He coaches his son’s Mite & Atom teams in Maryland and looks forward to passing on his love for the game although there is no doubt his children have an unbridled passion for hockey already.

Tim graduated from Newark College of Engineering (now known as NJIT) where he was captain of the ice hockey team his senior year. After graduation he played for Newark Brewers and the New Jersey Rockets at a time when those teams were considered semi-pro. He started coaching at the Ironbound Hockey Assn. when he played for the Brewers, then went to the Montclair Blues, The NJ Devils Youth Hockey Assn., the Bridgewater Bears and finally to Ridge High School where he has been for 25 seasons. During his tenure Ridge were State Champions in 2008, 2017 & 2019, Skyland Conference Champions in 2014, 2016 & 2018, McInnis Cup Champions in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, & 2009, Somerset County Tournament Champions in 2009, Pro-Tec Ponds Christmas Tournament Champions in 2019.

He would like to thank his wife Karen who is the best hockey wife and hockey mom ever.

Christian Bellino played youth hockey with Montclair Blues and high school hockey for the Verona Hillbillies. He graduated in 1993 after registering 315 career points, currently the 4th highest in NJ high school ice hockey history. His 203 goals is currently the 2nd highest career total. In his Senior year, Christian was the 2nd leading scorer in the state, named to the 2nd Team All State and 1st Team All Public School. He was the NJ Devils/Sportschannel Forward of the month in December 1992. As a Junior, he was the 3rd leading scorer in the state and named 2nd Team All Public School. Christian was twice selected as the NJIHL American Conference B Division MVP (’92, ’93).

Following high school, Christian was a 4-year starting left wing for the University of Delaware. Today Christian lives in Roseland, NJ with his wife Annamaria and children Joanna and Anthony. He has worked for Prudential since 1999.
